What "nuisances" annoy you most in your neighborhood and what suggestions do you have to help the city address them? Please be specific.

comment: Rap music noise or any noise from neighbors after 10:00 pm.
comment: A private sanitation truck comes to a nearby business to empty the garbage dumpster at various times in the morning (sometimes as early as 5:30). It is very loud it wakes us up every time. Perhaps the city could limit garbage pickups in residential neighborhoods to a reasonable time, say after 7:00 am.
comment: Dogs that bark constantly is the most annoying things about my neighborhood. The city shouldn't make it so hard to fine people with barking dogs.
comment: Loud car stereos from high school kids near there schools, also there wild driving
comment: cars driving fast up and down the street with loud mufflers I suggest they put speed bumps in!!
comment: I'm sick of people in my NE neighborhood being allowed to play their disgusting rap music at volumes that shake the walls of my house and the police absolutely failing to do anything about it by enforcing the noise ordinance. comment: I am constantly offended by electronically amplified music from home stereos or the High power stereos in cars passing on the street. If I was mayor we'd have a city ordinance making it a crime to play electronically amplified music which can be heard off your own property or in the case of cars, loud enough to be heard inside a home adjacent to the street. This is a modern nuisance which is totally avoidable. The technology exists to allow anyone to listen to music as loud as they like without annoying anyone. The technology is called headphones. To make a quiet, calm city, we need to cause people to keep their music to themselves.
comment: cars going too fast on residential streets and cars with stereo systems turned up so loud the whole house shakes.
comment: Noise...both from "super-bass" car stereos and in-home surround sound entertainment centers. Residents of in-city neighborhoods, where our houses are 10-15 feet apart need to remember that their neighbors may not have the same taste in movies, music or sleeping hours. The City could provide stronger noise ordinances and better support for enforcement of the existing ones. a ban on sales of car systems over a certain wattage.
comment: Why do we have leave blowers going every morning in the living room of Portland, Pioneer Square, a city known for it's environmental consciousness and quality of life? These machines are annoying , noise, air and people polluting. Is there something wrong with a broom?
comment: Thank you for the chance to tell you what bothers me most! Please help. Can't the city do anything to ban the car stereos that shake the walls and drive a person mad!? I've called the non emergency police to help do something about the neighbors who wash or work on their car while they play the heavy bass boom box car stereos. I have been told it isn't a nuisance unless it is after 10pm. NOT SO! It is always a nuisance! And the mom thinks it's just too cute that her teens express their freedom. For a while I basked in the knowledge that the idiots who sit in these cars would go deaf eventually. Then I was told they will need to turn everything louder as they grow older and it will only get worse! I am just entering my half century mark and bought my first home. I just want peace and quiet and a pleasant neighborhood to walk my dog in. The loud music that melts my ears and reverberates through my house, whether from a car stereo or a house drives me absolutely mad. Thanks
comment: cars with loud radios
comment: Kids and others in the evening cruising neighborhoods with extremely loud booming radios. Put speed bumps in neighborhoods. Don't wait for neighbors to circulate a petition and go through all those hoops. Just do it in the busier neighborhoods.
