I fully agree with the position of this website to "lower the boom". My family and I feel very strongly about this subject, and often wonder, "where do their rights end and ours begin?".
We feel the encroachment of this unwanted noise into the sanctity of our home is wrong, and should be stopped. I personally feel this is an invasion of privacy, and a curtailment of my right to peace and quiet in my own home.
We do not oppose the right of someone to listen to what they want to, provided it does not infringe on the rights mentioned above.
We are also concerned that someone playing music in this manner may not hear emergency vehicles or be aware of other road hazards. This is also another valid reason for eliminating this problem.
A car was never intended to be used in this manner. It is a conveyance, to transport an individual from one destination to another. It is possible to listen to what one chooses to hear, without infringing on others.
Keep up the good work, and thanks for picking up the banner on this rude and cruel trend.
